tour de fat!

We have been pretty busy riding bikes, getting coffee.....working and what not.  We finally made time to post some pix of Tour De Fat that came to Tempe Beach Park on October 5th.  It is this awesome festival where tons of bikers come together and cruise Tempe in costume.  We had so. much. fun.  There was lots of beer and neat activities going on.  We ended our ride with the most perfect picnic =)    Enjoy!  xoOOxXoXo

dinner club time!!

Tonight was our monthly gathering for Dinner Club.  My hubby, best friend and I created it one night over drinks at our favorite restaurant Postinos.  The idea of Dinner Club is to round up a group of friends to try new restaurants around the valley on the first Sunday of every month.  This month was definitely a treat!  We chose Federal Pizza and thought it would just be like any old pizza place, but let me tell you, that was no regular pizza!  Ishy and I shared a four cheese pizza and Nat had the Casanova with our good friend Jen.  

For dessert, we decided not to look at Federal Pizza's dessert menu, instead we had our eye on Churn across the street.  An adorable little shop full of treats and childhood toys, Churn has the most delicious homemade ice cream.  After we filled our bellies, we dashed back across the street and said our goodbyes to our wonderful friends who made this month's Dinner Club uh-mazing!  Ishmael, Natasha and I went for a stroll around the neighborhood to walk off our meals and discovered some beautiful homes.  It was overall a lovely evening.

lola coffee

We recently watched a documentary called The Perfect Cappuccino so we have been on a cappuccino kick.  We headed over to Lola Coffee to try theirs, but we are thinking cappuccinos are just not for us.  We will continue trying them out at different cafes, but we will most likely stick to coffee and lattes. 

This is right after Christian (Yvette's little one) grabbed the cup and spilled it everywhere! Trying to act like mommy!

 The decor is darling.  Lola's always feature different artists on their walls.  There are comfy sofas to relax and read a book or you can bring your laptop and get some work done at a tabletop.  The neighborhood is in a nice little area downtown where you can walk around or ride your bike.

our first post!!

Welcome friends, to our first blog post!  First off, we are not writers so bare with us.  

We came up with this idea after seeing all the awesome bloggers on Instagram and thought we can do that!  We have not always been fans of Phoenix.  Its hot, not much to do, and just plain blah.  But for some reason lately, Phoenix has become so much more attractive!  Cafes galore, hip restaurants, and inexpensive activities have been filling up our free time.  We hope we are helpful to those who are visiting or just want something to do.  So thanks for checking us out and tell your friends about us! xOXxOxXo
